Removal of Outer Tie Rods

Support it right behind where the tie rod end connects. A jack or jackstand works, just make sure you have something under it that will not allow it to flex or spring. With a support under it and the nut loosened enough to provide a plane composed of the nut surface and the top of the tie rod end you should be able to give it a sharp smack with a hammer and have it pop out.

Putting it back in? They have a tendency to rotate and not tighten up. Wipe the surfaces down with a solvent (lacquer thinner works great) to remove all lubrication. Make sure the nut and the threads on the tie rod end are as clean as possible. Force the two together, perhaps even tapping around the edges to force it on a little more and then install the nut.
