Check Engine light-CODE 3-1-2 700 1990

Have you noticed any performance change at all? Usually there's a performance change when the knock sensor goes bad. Decrease in gas mileage, loss of power, etc.

But when my knock sensor broke, it did nothing of the sort either. First check the connector and see if it's intact and making good contact. If so, then I suppose it went bad and you should replace it. I didn't really notice a difference in mine, but you might as well just in case. You don't want your engine to knock and for timing to not be retarded if that should happen.
