1997 960 serpetine belt problem 900

My wife's 1997 960 stationwagon needed a new alternator and radiator which I replaced. The volvo place had already removed the alternator and left the belt and parts in the car. When I got everything back together I had way too much slack on the belt. I either put it together completely wrong or I have the wrong belt. I took the belt by the parts store and it matched right up to a new one. I did manage to route the belt in such a way that I could start the car and run it but if I tried to drive the car stalled out. I think the belt is way too tight the way it is. I have taken it apart and I think I have it right. Please let me have your suggestions. I am aware that the easiest thing to do is take it back to Volvo and admit defeat but I'm cheap,

Any help would be appreciated.
