1987 240DL Volvo starter replacement 200 1987

I'm going home to visit my mom for the first time in a couple of years (I'm in the Air Force). Her starter is going bad and I plan to replace it while I am there. I've never worked on a Volvo, but the starter replacement looks similar to what I've done in my Celica, my Cherokee and my CRX. No sweat. The only problem is, I have no idea where it is in the car. Am I going to need to get under the vehicle to replace the starter? Is it hard to get to in the 240DL from 87? Do I have to remove any other parts to get to it? If I REALLY have to, I can probably take the Volvo to the auto hobby shop on base there, but I doubt it'd be open while I am home (gonna be home from the 27th to the 30th of Dec). I looked at the Chiltons online manual for this vehicle, and the swap looks easy if I can get to the starter.

Thanks for any help. Best regards and happy holidays!
Dave
