Oil Leak - 940 Turbo Wagon 900 1995

This Volvo has been a wonderful car with the exception of the very high cost of maintenance. The dealer has maintained this brick extremely well and I have the receipts to prove it. The garage floor continues to have the unwanted oil droplets each day. Have had the turbo lines? checked and they are not leaking. Dealer tells the fine wonderful lady that drives this vehicle that this leaks is probably an expensive one to fix. (Isn't it great how these folks speak to our loved ones!). Long story short, the rear main seal is leaking and is very annoying. Any ideas of what a "normal" shop would charge to remove and replace a $20 rear seal. Also, what other problems could this lead to if uncorrected, short of loosing all the oil? Thanks, and I'll sit back and listen.
