Definitely the wires!!! Had that happen to my 940 TWICE!! It would miss on damp days and the first time a buddy of mine told me it was the wiring. I replaced them and sure enough where the wire is covered by the boot is where the break was. It took the damp to get it to misfire. The second time it did it about 2 years later I knew exactly where to look and sure enough the same problem and this time new lifetime wires did the trick again.
