HELP! Possibly stranded in D.C. 700 1990

Well, it looks like I must face reality: blown headgasket.

Grr.

All the symptoms add up to a catastrophic coolant dump:
Milkshake in the overflow bottle,
Sluggish performance,
Horrible cold start idle,
Poor "warm idle",
No heat generation,
Flatlined H2O temp guage.

Calling around, a head job is at least $2K. At the worst time possible. So, I'll be looking for a good used motor. Anyone with leads is respectfully requested to pass them along. I, my family and the car are temporarily in the D.C/NoVa area.
