Demons in my Speedometer 700 1992

It helped so far as to help me find the ground points. They're all clean and I retightened everything. Still nothing. I guess my next step is to yank the speedo and see if I can find anything broken on the circuit board that is resolderable, and if not to ship it off to one of the Speedo people. Ugh. I despise electronic things. I never had an old fashioned cable type speedo go bad on me. The cable maybe, but not the gauge.

I'm acting on the theory here that the sensor for the speedo is one and the same as the sensor for the rear ABS. That is, the speedo sensor must be good or I would be getting an ABS fault code right?
