SRS light came on after replacing starter, cleaning ground connections, and fuses. 700 1990

My starter died. Before I diagnosed the problem, I cleaned most of the battery and ground connections as well as the fuses. After installing the starter and cranking the car, the SRS light stayed on. I checked the code and it said code number 5 (high resistance, check wiring, replace srs module). It will not let me clear the fault code.
Any suggestions?
