Check the resistance from the ECU. That will also verify the wiring. You could have a bad ground connection, or a poor connection at the CTS.

It is possible that the AMM is bad. I experienced a bad one on my wife's 1986 745T, and the symptoms did not match those normally assocaited with a bad AMM.

Also check the ground connections at the intake manifold where the fuel rail bolts down.
