Don't have a timing light, and I should check to be absolutely sure. However, I'm fairly certain it is retarded timing; if it isn't there is an invisible rope holding my brick back from behind. ;)

Someone mentioned the e-prom update a while back when I was tracking a similar problem. However, I think this was done to my brick and it seems to happen regardless of where I fill up and whether I am using oxygenated gas or whatever (I seem to remember the e-prom update is for winter mixtures used in northern cold climates).

I'll check the timing for sure.
