Sacramento ca. Where are the 240s.

You might be running into the same situation that we have in the mid-Willamette Valley here in Oregon. You see many nicely kept up 240's around all the time, especially in the cities, but very, very, rarely in the for sale ads. The ones that make it into the paper are usually the ones you would not want, the beater ones. The nice ones usually sell through word of mouth, or if they do make it into an ad, they sell immediately. I ended up having to get my '92 a couple of years ago through a car broker in Seattle who specializes in wagons, with about 85% of the wagons being Volvos. I had asked all the people I knew who drove 240's if they were thinking about selling theirs anytime soon, answer was always "no" and coupled with that they already had some people they had promised to contact when they wanted to sell. Good luck in your search, and hang in there!
