Cruise control problems 1986 sedan. 200 1986

Hi. I'm new to this site and have been looking at it for sometime now and it's been a great help. Now, help is what I need. Earlier this year when my temp compensator board went out, I installed an IPD bypass kit. My temp/gas guage works but the cruise stopped working. I did have a brake light problem around the same time and that was corrected, but still no cruise control. I have replaced everything from all parts in the engine bay and checked all vacuum lines and replaced the cable atop the gas pedal, brake light switch and replaced the ECU also. All the parts came from salvaged cars including 3 ECU's
and replaced the turn signal stalk switch and checked the #1 fuse and its seat.
I'm about ready to go with an aftermarket unit but would like to stay stock if possible. The car is very well maintained with 277,000 miles on the clock.
Please, anyone out there with any suggestions I would be greatful.
