Ummmm...Earth to Brett....You're missing the point...I could care less about the car in this auction, that car...that particular car, yes that is the one...I do not wish to purchase it...I was just browsing eBay when I saw the photo of the odometer....ummm...It looked fishy to me...Because I use Photoshop as a daily part of my living...and because I have seen many photos of many different odometers in my day hunting cheap Volvos...I suspected the photo had been altered...So in summary...what I am saying is....In a shadow or out of a shadow....I clearly see the digits "15544"...what do you see?...Looking at the trip odometer...I clearly see that we are looking at the odometer from within +/- 15 degrees perpendicular to the odometer's face...I have Photoshop at home and I zoomed way in on the photo...Guess what?...the image is very different when you run a spectrum profile (ask an art major about that)...So back to your million mile math...If I were to go about adding another digit to the front of that aforementioned number of "15544" which is see being outside of the other clearly visible shadows that fall on the odometer's face...it would bring it to "115544"...this brings the number up by about a factor of ten in the old math they taught me, some call that "an order of magnitude"....So let's assume you have made a similar mistake with your own 122's odometer...you would in fact be driving a 100,000 mile Volvo...and hey we all drive those...And if you'll notice...I never once mentioned this fellow's motive...In this post or my original...that is because I don't care what his motive is...I just asked if anyone else thought the photo had been screwed with...I am quite sure it has...
I'm sorry if you take my reply in this post as being a bit pissy, even though it was very much meant to be received as such. On very rare occasions when someone like yourself starts a post with "Ummmm..." and maintains a dismissive manner throughout the post it just pisses me off to no end. I took your post as being quite insulting. Could you tell?
Good Day
