Potentially Irritating Problem 700

ok, so I drained out the 10w40 and put in 10w30 today in equally cold weather to come to the same problem. The car started perfectly and ran for 3 seconds and then died. Restarting the car yielded the same results. I started it and got it to run by keeping the idle at around 1200. When the car had ran for maybe 20 seconds I let off and it kept running. The air/fuel mixture usually bounces back and fourth as the car is regulating but it does not do this now. It stays very, very lean. I shut the car off and now it will not restart. It turns over and almost starts to catch but will not. ANY HELP WELCOME!!!!
