Yeek! Wind Noise! 1800 1970

I love my car. It runs like a top. Fast and comfortable on long trips.I can live with the engine noise. But I can't abide the deafening wind noise from the side (door) windows. At expressway speeds it is so loud that it's actually quieter with the windows down. A tremendous amount of air leaks in at the corner, too. Despite my previous efforts to adjust both the angle of the window frame and the the door latch, I can't make any inroads. Door seals are almost new, put in by the previous owner during his restoration of the car. They are splt right at at that corner joint, but I've temporarily taped that over. Anyone have any positive experience with this problem they can share?
