Non-Starting 745T 700

I have a 1990 745 w/ B230FT engine. It does not start. Starting had been getting reluctant over the past week or two, but only occasionally. Just completed a 1,600 mile road trip and ran fine. The car has spark, has fuel (pulled line from rear of fuel pressure regulator & flows OK), and the blink code is 1-1-1 (no fault found!). Car has 212k on it and has mostly original parts. The distributor plate is original and leaks oil at the dynamic seals. I tried replacing the fuel pump relay but to no avail. Battery is three years old (Die-Hard Int'l) and it cranks fine, but does have corrosion at (+) post. The O2 sensor got replaced just prior to my road trip.

Immediately prior to the no-start failure the idle was occasionally VERY erratic running between 200 and 800 rpm, and once nearly stalling.

I'll clean up the battery posts and pull the distributor cap and clean up any oil inside to see if that helps. The 1-1-1 blink code bothers me as it should show things like a faulty hall (crank) sensor. Could the ballast in the driver's fender be causing this? How can I check that?

Any suggestions would really be appreciated as we are currently without on automatic transmission vehicle.
