Ignition timing waaay off 140-160 1974

On my car, when I first took it to shayne, the timing was about 20 degrees off like 10 deg ATDC and it had hesitation on initial throttle tip in. SO, when he correctly changed it, and advanced it to 10 BTDC and then even more to about 18BTDC, the hesitation went away, and it pulled much more smoothly and a bit harder in the lower rpms and midrange...
Just a couple of cents,
good luck
kyle
