stalling 1986 740 estate 700 1986

Hello I have the above car with the B230K carburetter engine. I started it up this morning for the first time from cold after not using it for 2 days. It started first time as usual and drove for about 8 minutes and then it stalled. it restarted straight away and stalled again. In total it stalled 3 times and each time the engine died and the warning lights came on. It started straight away with no problem after it had stalled. Once warmed up it runs and idles great.

What could it be?

I had to go to the volvo dealer to get a new carburetter gasket as the gasket is leaking and probably causing intake leaks. I asked the dealer if the hall sensor could cause stalling. He said he has never known one stall from cold, only when warm and restart fine after a few minutes.

Many thanks James.
