Oil Pressure Gauges - 3 Bar vs. 5 Bar 200

Good afternoon. Over the years I have collected several instruments from the various 240's that have passed through my hands. I am wondering what the difference is between the 3 bar and the 5 bar oil pressure gauges. I can tell you that the 3 bar gauge was removed from a 1982 242 GLT (B23). The 5 bar gauges were removed from a 1983 244ti (B21FT), a 1983 242ti (B21FT), and a 1984 244ti (B21FT). Is the 5 bar oil gauge for turbo models only? The reason I am asking is that I would like to install one of them on my 1991 245 (B230F). Also, is it true that the oil pressure sending unit in the block has a different thread size on the B230F engines compared to the B21FT or B23? Thanks ahead of time.
