housing for crank and intermediate seals-new gasket? 900

1991 940 turbo 225k

when replacing the crank and intermediate shaft seals, should i replace the gasket between the seal housing and the engine? i can't seem to find the gasket on any web parts places, and i can't tell if mine's leaking or not due to the oil everywhere. what is the name for this gasket and is it available? and what's with the timing belt cover gasket? mine didn't have one, and it really seems unnecessary. just trying to cover all bases before putting the belt back on, i'd like to do what i can while i'm in there. thanks a bunch.

oh, and what's the best solvent for caked motor oil? i've just been soaking the pulleys, bolts, etc. in gunk and using a toothbrush/q-tips, but is there a better solution?

thanks again
