1990 740GL 168k just wont fire 700 1990

The car just wont fire, it cranks fine, the distributor cap and rotor are new, i did notice that usually, my tachometer bobs as i crank the engine, now it doesnt. I an not a mechanic but I know a little about cars. I am wondering if this could be my ignition coil? or maybe my fuel pump..the fuses for the fuel pump are ok and everything else that uses standard blade fuses. If anyone could help that'd be great
