16v 740 balance Shaft Removal 700

Well, this is the third time my 16v motor in the 1990 740 GLE has had to have a valve job, and I"m getting sick of it. Each previous time, it seems to be the cause of the bearings on the balance shaft pulleys going out, or rubbing against the timing belt causing the belts to snap and also causing massive head damage. Frankly, I am sick of this. however, I read online from some of the turbobricks members, dick prince of ovlov and other sites that the 16v motor does not need the balance shafts. Has anyone successfuly removed them from their motor? If so, how does it run now? Is the vibration highly noticeable?
