Headliner 700

I just finished the headliner on my '91 740 and it looks great. The information provided by others on this site and the IPD directions (which you can download free) helped alot. I ended up purchasing the kit from IPD after spending months trying to locate the 1/8 inch headliner material. Everyone carries 1/4 inch. (If someone has an online source for 1/8 inch material, post it so that others can benefit.)The IPD kit cost $110. That was cheap compared to the $400+ I was quoted to have the job done by a headliner shop.

The headliner board broke as I was removing from the car. I repaired it and reinforced it with fiberglass at the stress points (backside) before I covered it and reinstalled it. It was very easy putting the headliner back in since the new fiberglass joints flexed easily, but do not break. I also did the sunroof while the sunroof was out.
