I found the 140's much better balanced and slower to break away than the 544. They just have a more stable feeling. I did inflate a very low tire, and that helped. I have one studded (Nokia, fittingly) rear tire and one more that must be across town at my dad's. I'll get them on. Original red steel wheels with no hubcaps. Very ice racerish.

George the 3.31 aren't Volvo parts, they were installed from a Jeep. Works fine once I eventually got someone who knew what they were doing to set up the 'pattern' on the ring and pinion. I went through a ton of cash and about 4 shops who were sloppy with their work. For my 140, I got a 164 axle which is starting to get rebuilt with 3.73, and a Tru-Trac gear type LSD. We'll do it on a relaxed schedule, off the car, and swap it in.
