seasonal tire storage... with aluminum wheels... 200 1986

Anyone have suggestions on how to prevent aluminum oxidation while storing my winter tires (which are on the aluminum corona wheels).

it seems that when I tried to put them on they now leak air when they didn't before ... a buddy says that it's because the rims oxidized during storage causing slow (or not so slow) leaks.

Aaaarghhhh!

thanks,

jack
