Lighter Wiring in 1978 242

IN the Volvo Service Manual Wiring Diagrams for the 1978 it shows the cigarette lighter to have TWO black wires.

The one from the outside of the socket is the ground. The hot side is powered by fuse #1, a 16 amp (red). That fuse and #2 are hot when the key is in Positions I or II, not 0 or III.

Call 1-800-25-VOLVO and ask if this book for your car is still available. It is worth having.

Good Luck,

Bob
