940 turbo, 91, 145k....MANUAL, locking diff (i believe! - feels like it when its sideways!)
known maintenace, engine is up top spec, no known oil leaks (and i would!) brakes ok, suspension etc a bit of an unknown quanity!
when first accelerating away on a cold engine the car will 'lurch' slightly (but significantly) after the clutch is fully out and as the drive is taken up. NOTE this isnt from dead stop but a bit after..as i say clutch is already fuilly out and feels like its 'bitten' well....
Some times it will do it when pulling off from a junction into a hard turn if given some throttle....
2nd is getting a bit 'notchy' to (seems to go hand in hand with the above'.
When going from lightly off throttle to lightly on throttle (eg approaching a slight back, or in reverse approaching a downward gradient) there seems to be a 'lurch'..like something moving then getting stopped....also when 'stopped' there seems to be more of a feel of motor vibration through the stick....
car goes like stink, no evidence of slipping clutch...(e.g 30mprh 4th gear and BURY the throttle no slip, revs rise with speed)
one other symptom (but i think unconnected!) slow reverese (eg pulling out of parking) full left lock getting a decided 'clonk'like a gear skipping a tooth - only happens in reverse, only happens at full lock and held...release the lock a FRACTION and it goes away (if it was a FWD I would say it was a CV joint on the way...)
all ideas welcome, I have my own hunch but want to see if others reach it...
