940 wagon factory mobile phone uninstall 900

after a reckless driver crossed the double yellow and hit me head on, my 240 was demolished and I bought a 940 wagon. This 940 has the antennas in the rear side windows and had the factory? mobile phone set up that I have seen in many similar vehicles. I unscrewed and removed the phone holder and bracket, but there is still a lot of wires that are crammed in behind the ashtray (in front of the relays). I would like to remove all of it. Has anyone done this before? any advice?

Also, it has an "Alpine" am/fm CD player installed; the CD player and FM works fine, but the AM does not work at all. I find it difficult to believe the there are separate AM and FM receivers. Is it possible that the AM antenna was used for the phone?

any help appreciated.

mm
