I'm probably going to sell my well maintained, trusty, 87 745 GLE wagon. I'm curious as to whether any of you all out there in Brickboardland can tell me how much to expect for it, as it really is an exceptional vehicle with respect to condition and maintenence. Let me give you a run down of its pluses and minuses, and maybe you all can give me an idea. I don't know what to think of the Kelly Blue Book stuff, and figured people here with more expertise could give me a good figure.
Good: new headliner, new rear main seal (anticipating I'd keep the car much longer), newish radiator (40k miles), good belts and seals, maintenance records in excel spreadsheet and on paper from 107k, prior to that neighborly word of mouth excellent maintenance. (I personally trusted 'em.) New tailgate shocks, SUPER CLEAN. No body rust. No accidents. Garage kept until 1 month ago.
Bad: one split front drivers seat. A couple dings here and there, nothing very noticable at all. High mileage (206,000) but 80% highway!
Where I live in VA people seem to like Volvos, and prices sometimes can be a bit inflated for them - especially when dealer maintained like this one. I'm hoping that because it's so good looking (a lady with a newish v70 thought it was newer than hers hahaha!!!) and clean, I can get around $2000 for it in my area. Any advice is welcome, and thanks for reading!
