Crossing the US/Canada border with parts 120-130 1965

Hi all,
I'm thinking of taking a few used Amazon parts to a friend in Canada, and returning to the US with some parts. Some of these I'll purchace, and some will be traded for. I've checked out the US Customs site, but they are fairly vague on what gets a duty tax. They only tell you that if you stay less than 24hr, you can bring in $200 worth of merchandise without duty, BUT not what they charge if you bring in more that that. I want to avoid suprise dutys, or being detained, etc, etc... Can anyone shed a little light on this?
