Volvo Mud Flaps....ahhhh they bring back old memories! 900

When I was a kid, I remember a teacher having a set of black and white mud flaps on her pristine volvo. I never really understood then, the purpose of those darned things, but they did catch my attention and I recall them fondly now. To this extent, I've begun to wonder if finding on old (or new) set of them wouldn't be a nice addition to the new 945TI. Anyone know where I can get a set of these babies. I did call the dealership (first call to Volvo dealership since new acquisition - geesh, they've got a swedish fella working in the parts department who was VERY knowledgble, helpful and even friendly despite my trying to pick his brain with all the inane questions I ultimately ask about here) : ) However, I discovered that mud flaps at the dealership are $144.00 YIKES!

I must say though, his patience was no match for the patience, diligence, and generosity of the folks here. I guess there is a limit to anyone's appreciation for a newbee's enthusiasm and initial marvel about any given subject.

Anyway, if anyone has any comments on those crazy old black and white mud flaps I'd be curious to know.....i will be looking for a set in the junk yard when i go next. Thanks again to all, and to everyone, have a fantastic week!

Sincerely,

JB
