Neophyte timing belt questions 200 1983

This is one of two posts today to prove I shouldn't be doing my own work. I recently had a dealer replace the timing belt on my 1983 GL before deciding I should start doing my own work. My Bentley says a new timing belt should be adjusted at about 600 miles (1000km). The dealer says they never do this. Should I? If so, the Bentley procedure says to take a socket to the crankcase bolt and turn it 45 degrees to be sure the belt is tight; but none of the illustrations demonstrate where the crankcase bolt is. Can someone describe what I'm looking for? I think I understand the rest of the instructions.
