stuck trunk latch 700 1989

I'd try getting in there with a thin piece of metal (plumber's tape) to see if there is anything in the way. If the automatic lock arm comes disconnected, I suppose it could block the lock from opening. If the plumber's tape doesn't work, try getting the back seat off, pushing the subs out of the way, and unscrewing the latch on the frame of the car. Or, if you look through the holes in the trunk lid on the inside behind the lock, there is a little tab that the lock usually pushes (and you can push it up too) and open the trunk. Good luck.
