Oh No! No center support bearing!!! 700

Hello all,

Upon a pre-inspection prior to an output bearing/bushing replacement on my '86 740 GLE with an AW 70 conversion, I noticed that when they changed driveshafts in the conversion, they didn't install a new center support bearing. The driveshaft still runs through the support bushing but there is no bearing on the shaft.
There is about a 1/2 inch space between the shaft and the rubber bushing allowing for alot of play. I'm going to replace the bearing and bushing asap, but what other parts may be missing here? Isn't there a rear bearing protector? I've read about it here in the FAQ but I have never seen one. Is this part available? Also
in the Haynes Manual, it specifies that there is a rubber boot with retaining rings. I haven't seen one. Replacements available?. Hmmmmm. I'm trying to make this job a surgical strike mission, so I want to get all the info on all the angles so I have no surprises or delays.

Thanks for any input.
