Daveshan is right, the pan plug is a 3/4x16. To check any sending unit that is supposed to fit the oil pan threads, take along an oil filter for your B2xx Volvo (preferably a Mann W-917, which has a thick end plate with lots of threads) and try to thread the sending unit into it. Same threads.
