i have to figure this front end problem out.... 200 1984

Could be your ball joint. VEry easy to replace. Anyhow test it by rasing the wheel (just need the scissor kacks for this as you won't be crawling underneath the car) and the grab the wheel on the 12 and 6 o'clock positions and try to move it back and forth. Any play means the ball joint could be worn. Grab the wheel on the 3 and 9 o'clock position and try to move it. Any play will indicate a worn tie rod end or wheel bearing.
