electrical short 140-160

hello, sounds to me like you are picking up the resistance of the lights with your check. the circuit will go through the battery from positive terminal out the negative and through the lamps, back to the fuse panel and show that you have continuity. (Depending on where the switch is in the circuit, up or downstream from the Switches.) I'll try and find a schematic and come up with something more for you.

An ohm meter or DMM would be more helpful to troubleshoot. Continuity doesn't really give enough information, could be less than 2 ohm( dead short, unlikely in your case or fuses would be blowing) or more than 1,ooo ohms.

if you have time, pull the all lamps from the circuit and test again for cont.

i'll check my car tonight and see if i get similar results as your test.

You didn't mention your charging system. I always hold that as a prime suspect. I'd make sure it's working properly before trying to follow the circuits and learn how they work. If you aren't blowing fuses your wiring is probably o.k.
