i have to figure this front end problem out.... 200 1984

If your rear control arm bushings are bad you will usually get a clunk or thumo when going over speed bumps (or anything else @ any speed for that matter). That's because of all the extra play in the rear contraol arm bushing. The front control arm bushings do hold up fairly well but it is easy to look at both. I re-did my front suspension for under $125 and I have to say it is one of the biggest difference in ride and comfort I have done to my Volvo. Good Luck!
