M41/OD install and shifter choice. 120-130 1966

The long-shifter top on mine was a little floppy - I cured it without having to find a rare unworn top by making some little sheet metal shims. Just made a little shim that wrapped around the little pins and sugged to fit the loosened top. Works like a charm - reduced the throw and slop in the shifter nicely.

I still need to cut and shorten the lever on mine. It interferes with the undished 444 steering wheel I would like to use (looks a lot neater than the two-spoke 544 wheel).
