Decreased power, turbo gauge well below usual standing point, check engine light 700

1990 760 turbo. Wet and cold driving. Cut off twice withing four hundred yards, then check engine light came on, drove a back home with noticeable decreased power, turbo guague wasnt where it usually is, it was not in the middle for most of the trip as it usually is, but at about the first quarter mark, still able to keep up in traffic, but the acceleration wasnt there. check engine light was on when i cut it off, then an hour later i went and just cranked it and the light was off, didnt drive it. Not a motorhead but would appreciate the help.
take it easy
thanks alot
