D-Jet TPS question. [Calling JohnMc !] 1800

Volvoniacs;

This is a follow-up to JohnMc's excellent post explaining the function of TPS(http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=714989).

From his info, one might infer that the TPS is not even required (to be hooked up!) for steady state RPMs 9he even suggests this in the post), since the MAP should (alone) result in the correct amount of fuel to be injected...Question: Can anyone elaborate on what happens with a disconnected TPS...has anyone tried this during troubleshooting?

Thanks in advance for responses!
