OD / reverse light blow 700 1990

I have a 1990 740 GL. Recently, the car stalled while I was slowing down for a red light, and the OD lockout indicator lit up. I opened the fuse box, and saw that the fuse had blown. Replaced the fuse, and throwing the car into reverse blew the fuse again. I know that OD and the reverse lights share a fuse. I looked through the forum and didn't see any postings on this. Any ideas where common short points are? Thanks!
