need help on volvo paint 200

I have a 245DL in burgundy. I just got this car from my parents on my 17th Bday last tuesday and it's been in our family since the third days after i was born. I plan on keeping her until she dies, but i would like to keep her lookin nice. The only concern i have are fairly large regions of chipping paint that run all long the passenger side on my car. The largest region is at the rear quarter panel on the passenger side under the window, a little circle(diameter of 4 inches)of chipping paint on the passenger door, and a small region right above the front right wheel well. My father and I have already tried putting touch up authentic volvo spray paint on the chipping paint areas last spring, but it still sticks out like a sore thumb. I am also on a budget and wouldn't like to invest too much into this car. Is there a cheap way to repair or cover the chipping paint for atleast...say 100 bucks. I'm willing to get my hands dirty, so if there is a way that a 17 year old kid can do this by himself...by all means..i'm all ears. I'd appreciate any help. I also have some problems with engine noises, but i'll save that for another post. thanks in advance.

BTW: i still have 2 full cans of the volvo spray paint.
