544 front disc brakes 444-544

I'm about to carry this out on my 444, but at first sight it doesn't seem to be necessary to modify the rear mounting bolt of the shock absorbers when they have been moved forward as there is no interference with the steering arm. Is this because of the differences between 444 and 544 steering arms?
