Brighter Tail Signals 444-544

Maybe it was a bright sun or maybe the guy behind me wasn't paying attention but I almost got seriously rear ended while slowing down to make a left turn. After the hair on the back of my neck went back down and I had a few moments to reflect, thoughts of improving the brightness of the rear signals crossed my mind.

My 544 is quite red so there isn't much contrast between the rear signal lenses and the body of the car. I also have an Avanti which shares the less is more style of rear signal design.

It's a bit frosty out for hand signals so any suggestions as to alerting my fellow drivers to my intentions would be appreciated -- didn't some 444's have mast signals?
