what kind of motor do i have? 140-160 1973

I have just become an new owner of a 164e. However, i am nor quite sure what engine it has in the car. I know that it is a b30 but how do i tell the difference between the e and f designations. I have had e and f engines in 140 cars but the 164 is confusing me. The reason for such confusion is that there is a computer under the passenger seat (so i assuned it was a e) but on the fire wall it tells me that it is a b30 f. Also for reno reasons what year do i follow when the car has window side lights and a 72 styled interior but sports a straight front bumper? I am assuming it is a 1973 but heck what do i know.
Thanks for the info confused in Canada.
