brake light problems and more!! 700 1989

Just bought my first Volvo :-) - 1989 740 GLE Sedan. Both Tail light assemblies were broken(no damage to the car). Replaced both completely with new bulbs and all, compliments of FCPGroton.

Problem 1 - With headlights or just parking lights on, the brake lights stay lit all the time(both elements lit in other words), including the back dash brake light. When the parking/headlights are off, the brake lights function properly. The bulb out indicator also stays on all the time and no bulbs are out(anywhere on the car). All other lights work properly front and back

Problem 2+ - No wipers, no horn and no radio. The horn and wipers haven't worked since I bought the car. The radio came on once and sounded great. I turned the car off and it hasn't worked since. Have checked all fuses including the 2 on the back of the radio - None blown.

Was having intermitant problem with power to fuel (pressure)pump and car wouldn't start... no power to fuel pump. But that problem seems to have gone away for now.

Any suggestions appreciated

Dusty
