700 still stalls 700

Hi just a follow up of last weeks post, I have now given the thing a tune up with the hall sensor on order. I will get it in wendsday but won't be able to put that on till this weekend. Anywho the spark plugs were black giving me the impression that the car is running rich and with what I can smell in the exhast I wouldn't doubt it. I did notice a few things while I was working on it, the cylinder no.3 wiring for the fuel injector is showing, is this the engine harness problem people are talking about? Either way that is getting replaced soon. Another question, how can you tell if the hall sensor is bad if you can't see it while it is on the car? Do I have to take the distributor off the car? Thanks for the help and hopefully this thing will get a name after she goes a couple thousand miles without any problems. Thanks again
