'87 760 T REAR axel noise?

While the rear end was up on floor jacks, I spun the wheels to check for breaks rubbing. The breaks didnt rub, but the rear end made a " clicketty, clicketty, clicketty" noise as the wheel rotated. IS THIS NORMAL????/ I drained and replaced the differential oil just in case. NO metal bits or shavings were found in the drained oil or on the drain plug. car has 141K miles

Any one out there have an idea what a differential SHOULD sound like when the car is elevated and wheels spun?

Thanks in advance!

Brian
